Books About Selling
66What have you learned today?
I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I've been in "sales" or "Sales Management" for over 20 years. Luckily, in order to succeed in sales (or in ANYthing, really) you have to keep reading and keep learning...so I'm always in my comfort zone! :)
You know the saying..."More Learning equals More Earning".
There are SO many books available to become a better sales person, a better Networker, a better manager, a better letter writer. . I haven't read them all, but I've many, many, many...and I wanted to share the ones that made the most (positive) impact on my sales career.
These books have made my career
- Selling to VITO by Tony Parinello
Selling to VITO had the biggest impact taht I can recall. When I stopped calling on 'end users' and instead concentrated on calling at 'C-level'...my sales nad my confidence an my commissions increased significantly. - The 25 Sales Habits of Highly Successful Salespeople by Stephan Schiffman
This book, after selling to VITO, is also the life-changing, career changing book that I've sworn by. Practical-but-pointed, Schiffman knows what you are doing wrong and shows you a better way every time. - Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins
Awaken the Giant Within in a 'self improvment' book and not a 'sales improvement' book...but gerat sales people set goals and reach them. And exceed them. This book by Tony Robbins inspires me to be my very best every time I read it. - Advanced Selling Techniques
Brian Tracy's book takes you past the basics and gives you more options and more insight on how to connect with people, discover their needs, present your solution and earn a customer. - Jeffrey Gitomer's Little Red Book of Selling
Gitomer's 12.5 Principles is virtually a bible in teh sales industry. He's practical, he's to-the-point and he's been super sucessful. - Sales Books on Squidoo
This is another place where I 'catalog' my favorite books on selling techniques and self improvement.
